In-Common Laboratories is committed to maintaining the privacy and security of confidential health information as required by the Canadian federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (S.C. 2000, c. 5) and the Ontario provincial Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004.

Our Privacy Policy is meant to balance an individual’s right to privacy of personal information and personal health information with the organization’s legitimate, authorized use of that information. The two main issues it addresses are:

  1. The collection, use, disclosure and protection of information; and
  2. An individual’s right of access and correction of their information held by the organization.

The Policy is based on the Canadian Standards Association Model Code for the Protection of Personal Information(CAN/CSA-Q830-96)
